Spring 2010 Cool Choices
Up to $1,200 Rebate
This spring, Carrier is offering consumers an incentive to purchase and install a new heating and cooling system in their home—the better the system, the bigger the rebate.1 On qualifying products, consumers can receive up to a $1,200 rebate on a Carrier system when purchase includes an Infinity Air Purifier. Additional rebates may also be available on Carrier generators and other heating and cooling accessories. Plus, special financing is also available.
Key promotion dates to keep in mind:
- Sales must be made from March 1– June 30, 2010
- Installations must be made from March 1– July 15, 2010
- Rebate claims must be made from March 1– July 31, 2010 (6pm CT)
Consumers in the U.S. and Canada are eligible for the Carrier Cool Choices promotion. This promotion is designed specifically for the residential homeowner market. Only Carrier systems sold as a replacement for the homeowner's existing system or as an add-on to an existing home qualify.

There are rebates up to $500 when you select a qualifying Carrier system that works in conjunction with your present system, saving energy while cutting your monthly home comfort bill.
Add A $1500 Tax Credit
Receive up to $1500 as a government tax credit that you can apply on your 2009 return. We have Carrier hybrid systems that meet or surpass the full-credit standards.
Financing Choice Available
In addition to the tax credit and rebates, we have a 12-month-same-as-cash finance plan for qualified homeowners. It can make buying a new system easy on your budget.

What is Smart Saver?
Smart $aver pays cash rebates to residential customers, participating HVAC dealers and home builders who install qualifying high efficiency heating and cooling equipment in a new or existing home. It’s just one way Duke Energy is promoting energy efficiency and helping our customers lower their energy costs.
Who Is Eligible for Rebates?
Incentives are paid for qualifying heat pumps or air conditioners installed on or after June 1, 2009 for Duke Energy Carolinas electric residential retail customers residing in a single-family home, condominium, duplex or mobile home. Incentives are paid after the qualified system is installed and operating.
